Criteria for air mass categories:
Continental was based on Radon (>500 mBq/m3) concentrations measured by the PMEL group. HYSPLIT back trajectories were used to determine source of  continental air masses. Wind abaft the beam determined from PMEL meteorological data. Sea sweep times were based on PMEL and Scripps filter logs.
