2021 American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) Survey for NASA is Underway

Oct. 4, 2021, noon

If you are a registered Earthdata user, check your inbox for the 2021 American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) survey. Since 2004, NASA's Earth Observing System Data and Information System (EOSDIS) Distributed Active Archive Centers (DAACs) have conducted a survey of its data users. The results have provided valuable input to help the Earth Science Data and Information System (ESDIS) Project and DAACs assess current status and improve future datasets, services, tools and support.

Recently, users received an e-mail from the CFI Group on behalf of NASA asking to complete a survey for users of NASA Earth science data and services, which includes the Atmospheric Science Data Center (ASDC). The ASDC is one of twelve DAACs evaluated by this survey and the purpose is to help NASA and the DAACs assess and better understand customer satisfaction and to improve both current and future service offerings. Input from past surveys have been used to enhance and improve the overall user experience offered by the ASDC.

We kindly ask that you please participate in this year’s survey! Your feedback is invaluable and will greatly assist the ASDC in identifying user needs and opportunities to address problems, improve data and services, and influence priorities of the DAAC.

If you did not receive a survey and wish to complete one, or know of someone who uses ASDC and/or EOSDIS data and services who did not receive a survey, please contact surveyhelp@cfigroup.com.

Thank you in advance to all who have completed the survey thus far and please consider participating if you have not done so already – the survey closes on Thursday, October 7, 2021.

The American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) is the only national cross-industry measure of customer satisfaction in the United States. NASA commissioned the CFI Group, an independent research and consulting organization, to conduct a brief survey to rate the products and services NASA currently provides from NASA's EOSDIS DAACs. Please consider responding to this survey which should take no longer than 10-15 minutes to complete; your input will help us to better serve our user community.
