Description
The MOPITT Level 1 data product consists of the geolocated, calibrated earth scene radiances, associated instrument engineering data summaries, and inflight calibration information. Data granules are one day in duration and limited to the earth scenes observed within the midnight to midnight period. Data from calibration sequences are included in the MOPITT Calibration History (MOPCH) File. Instrument performance statistics are presented in the MOP01ES files. Measurements Of Pollution In The Troposphere (MOPITT) was successfully launched into sun-synchronous polar orbit aboard Terra, NASA's first Earth Observing System spacecraft on December 18, 1999. The MOPITT instrument was constructed by a consortium of Canadian companies and funded by the Space Science Division of the Canadian Space Agency.
