CALIPSO CALIOP V1.00 L2 Blowing Snow Announcement

The CALIPSO mission team, in collaboration with the Atmospheric Science Data Center (ASDC) at NASA Langley Research Center and AERIS/ICARE Data and Services Center announces the release of a new CALIOP Level 2 Blowing Snow - Antarctica Monthly Product Version 1.00.

The Blowing Snow monthly data product developed by Dr. Stephen Palm, is a new technique for the detection of blowing snow events determined from the CALIOP lidar atmospheric attenuated backscatter measurements to obtain the spatial and temporal frequency, layer height, and optical depth of blowing snow events over Antarctica for the years 2006 through 2018.
