The 2019-2020 Australian bushfire season was one of the most intense on record. A new StoryMap created by NASA’s Atmospheric Science Data Center (ASDC), in partnership with NASA's Disasters Program uses NASA Earth Science data to illustrate factors contributing to the fires, show the effect of the fires on atmospheric composition, and explain how NASA data helps provide a better understanding of extreme fire events.
