Project: MISR

The NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) Multi-angle Imaging SpectroRadiometer (MISR) project and the NASA Langley Atmospheric Science Data Center (ASDC) announce the release of Version 4.1 of the "MISR INteractive eXplorer" (MINX) software tool.

MINX can be downloaded at no charge from this website:

See "Readme Notes v4.1" on the website for a description of its many new features and for instructions on installing MINX on Mac, Windows and Linux computers.

MINX is an interactive application written in IDL that functions both as a general-purpose tool to visualize MISR data and as a specialized tool to retrieve detailed aerosol plume heights and wind velocities from wildfire smoke, volcanic, and dust plumes.

MINX utilizes IDL's Virtual Machine software, which is now included in the MINX package. IDL (Interactive Data Language) is a product of Harris GeoSpatial Inc.
